Carroll Shelby invites you to share some good ol' Texas hospitality with us at our new museum and showroom. Shelby American is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00, Monday through Friday, and free factory tours start at 11:30 every day, or by appointment after 3:30. On the tour you'll see 35 years of Shelby performance cars, from the very first Shelby Cobra through the Shelby Mustangs, Dodges, and the Aurora-powered Shelby Series 1. You'll see firsthand how we go from drawing board to prototype to production. And you'll also have a chance to take home a piece of Shelby history from the company's general store and Texas-style chili stand, "Viva Terlingua!"

       A special grand opening ceremony was held October 10, 1998. The festivities included the first factory-sponsored, all-Shelby car show, a parade lap around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and a Shelby motorcade to Fremont street to kick off the world championship chili cook-off.

       Shelby American's new headquarters is also the location for the ever expanding world of Team Shelby. This national brand name refers to the new management team created by Chairman and Founder Carroll Shelby and Don Rager, President and Chief Operating Officer for Shelby American. Team Shelby also applies to the widening circle of development partners which contribute and showcase new technology on Shelby's vehicles and other quality performance products. In addition, through its new Racing Development Center, Team Shelby will provide support services to a number of professional motorsports teams.
