Bunkie Knudson's Boss 429 Mustang KK1205

The Boss 429 was an M plate car, Black with Candy Gold stripes. It was purchased off the B Lot at Ford, the day after Bunkie left the company.

The car's new owner was a man in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Later it was sold to Stan Webster of W&W welding also in Ypsilanti.
He crashed it, rebuilt the car as a Trans Am wannabe.

The last it was seen, the car was not restorable. The engine was retrieved out of the car; an iron head Boss 429 with early FORD valve covers.
Car was 9F02_113738 scheduled build Oct 11 1968. By the end of Dec 68, the prototypes had been completed and thoroughly checked out.

Production started mid January 69. Bunkie's car was a preproduction prototype therefore not having similar components as the production models.
