Delta 4×4 Ford Ranger Has Wild Graphics And
Off-Road Hardware
A company from Germany called Delta 4×4 has unveiled their modified Ford
Ranger pickup. The company says that pickups are taking Europe by storm,
and the Ford Ranger accounts for nearly 1/3 of new pickups sold in the
country. The team set out to modify a Ranger to make it more off-road
capable and give it additional style.
The Delta 4×4 Ford Ranger has a four-centimeter suspension lift and a body
lift kit lift to give the truck additional clearance to fit the Mud
Terrain tires. The overall lift is 14 centimeters, and the tires are
Cooper SST Pro 305/60 R18 units. Those tires are mounted to in-house
designed WP light-alloy wheels in matte black. The larger diameter tires
give the truck overall additional ground clearance of 20 to 30
millimeters.
The company fitted “wide-body” fender extensions that are painted vehicle
body color. The front of the vehicle has what Americans would call a “bull
bar,” but the German company says it is a pedestrian safety bar. We don’t
think a tubular steel bumper guard will help a pedestrian if they walk out
in front of the truck. That bar also serves as a mounting point for a pair
of LED lights.
Components used on the Delta 4×4 Ford Ranger are currently available in
Europe with the 100-millimeter body lift kit costing €2260 with the taller
suspension springs and shock absorber selling for €2216.38. The 18-inch
wheels with the tires mentioned cost €2900 for the set. The wide-body
fenders are available for €1800 and the front bar is €560. The driving
lights are €600, and all the prices are in addition to any labor or
painting. Ranger fans in the U.S. can get the Roush Cold Air Intake.
